Scored a Tach dash, but as usual have a problem. Hooked it all up and tach goes to 500 rpm and stays. checked to make sure it wasnt binding, still only 500.Checked connections and still only 500! Any ideas or should i just start over?

Check your ground from insterment panel to the dash. Most likely it is a bum tach though.
