Diesel Lift question

I looked online for a body lift and they said no body lifts are avaiable for diesel engines.. anyone have any input on this? I want to get the 4" springs lift.. combined with a 2" body.. rather then a 6" springs..

What year is your diesel? If it`s a solid axle-type(pre-88)?It doesn`t matter on these for suspension. As far as body-lifts go,they don`t recommend it because you lose some cooling from the shroud not lining-up 100% with the fan.Bottom of the shroud gets cut.

its an 83.. I was actually thinking of removing the fan and replacing it with an electric fan anyway.. Or I guess I could cut the shroud to make it fit.

Mine was a diesel and a 3" body lift, no problems at all. An '83 too.

The problems with cooling are on the`92+ because they are turbo`d.But still, why wouldn`t you just do 6"springs?
