suspension upgrade?

I've got a 70' 3/4 ton LB. I read somewhere that one could take the disc brakes off a 73' or later and would fit right on my 70' spindles,as long as i used late model tie rods. Even by buying a Chevy interchange manual i still cant confirm this swap will work. If anybody has done this or knows anything about it PLEASE let me know. You'll be saving me my sanity and about $800.

I believe that the ball joints are different between the years too, not sure about the 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton interchanging.

Can use 71-87 Spindles, backing plates, caliper brackets, ball joints, center link, inner and outer tie rods.

This will all mount up using your original C-20 A arms.

Also - be sure to get a proportioning valve from a disc/drum truck - (brass block behind x-member).

Good luck.

The top balljoints are riveted on all of the older chevs, but the bottom arms have pressed balljoints. the balljoints are a direct swap, as Rodder4hire has posted L
