Where to get Dual gas tank valve??

Who can I get a dual tank valve from? None of the parts stores carry them and neither do any of the parts suppliers like LMC and Chevy Duty. Do I have to get it from GM? Mine is a single wire, six outlet valve. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THanks

I'd go get a new one myself. The old factory ones seem very unreliable. I am sure you can find yourself an aftermarket one somewhere though, as the GM one may be a bit more expensive

Give Jason Comer at Sam Taylor's Buick Cadillac a call. I got my AC/Delco valve from him. I gave around $60 for it plus shipping. His prices are very reasonable. If I remember right, mine was a 6-port, multi-wire valve. I'm not sure on the 6-port. 1-wire valve. But, he may be able to look up the part number. If you're interested, I can post my part number.

I got mine from www.gmpartsdirect.com but they have gotten VERY slow in filling orders lately so I started using www.paceperformance.com

You can also look at some of the online parts stores like www.napaonline.com and www.partsamerica.com

For genuine GM parts, go to Dal. Who is Dal?

http://www.9c1.com/parts/whoisdal.htm

Prices as good or better than gmpartsdirect.com, reasonable shipping rates (which you'll NEVER get with gmpd), and a guy that has forgotten more than most know about GM parts. Email: lockitup@bright.net or 1-877-448-5451.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Yeah this is for my '74 K/20 and yes they had dual tanks way before this body style just not with this kind of valve. I did go to Napa and the guy there had no idea what the valve I brought in with me was or where to get one. I'll have to check out a few of these places. Thanks again!

Injected83GMC, thanks for the link but thats not the valve I need. Wrong plug for the wiring. I only need the valve with a single stud for the plug to connect to. I have one on order from one of the Chevy dealers in my area, he didn't have a picture so he couldn't give a description of it but since it was only $13 I told him to order it anyway. GM parts direct website didn't list anything for dual tanks or a valve for them. We'll see what the dealer has for me.

Earl Filter- is that email address for Dal? Do I need to tell him you referred me to him for parts or can I email him directly?

Hey Guys I just did a little looking around cause I had trouble finding one for my '76 C-3500 and when I did it was like $49.00 at Carquest and the last one they had. But I just punched in to www.partsamerica.com and ask for the photo and they showed the '80s version for $99.00 for my '76 which is wrong; so I punched in my '67 C-20 and it gave me part# GP Sorenson FSV7 for $46.00 but with out the returns on the switch. I can run my own return lines for $50.00 difference any day !!!

Are you using the FSV1? FSV7 comes up as a fuel shutoff.

I picked one up from the dealer today for $13. It's not exactly the one I need but I will make it work. It's got 3 outlets and the single wire plug. They told me to go to a junkyard and get the one with 6 outlets and a single wire plug. I found a truck in my local junkyard with the same valve on it that I bought and will make my lines exactly like they were on that truck. Thanks for your help guys!!
