Question Np205?

Does any body know of a good place to get parts for an NP205. The only reason I ask is I dont want to give my money to a place that doesnt send you all yourparts then closes up shop. That happend to me I bought like 2 bills worth of stuff from "Mile High Chevy classic Truck Parts" sent me half my parts the went out of business. Errrr that will piss me off evertime I think about it. Any how input is appreciated!

I found my local bearing sales sells NP205 master rebuild kits for $125 which is $25 cheaper than local auto parts stores. Drivetrain.com sells NP205 parts.

*This peticular one is very rare, it was out of a 71 Suburban. So here is your chance to pick up this rare 205 while it is still around.Â* The divorce case works way better that any other with a lifted truck because it makes the front drive shaft sit at a much better angle.*

Rare, my @ss. And why is it a divorced version when no '71 burb ever had a divorced NP205? In fact, I don't think any Suburban ever had a divorced xfer case of any type. The spray bomb paint over everything makes me suspicious. At the very least, whoever *rebuilt* that NP205 foolishly chose to paint the aluminum and stamped steel covers. NP205s should never be monochromatic from yoke to yoke.

He did say "Suburban" but didn't say want make. Dodge [Dead on downgrade even] used divorced units that where right side drop. Nice rattlecan rebuild!

I believe pre '67 subs and panels had the divorced t221 like their pickup counterparts. I agree with poet. The case looks pretty shady. If the guy went to all that trouble to rebuild the whole thing, why didn't he spend an extra half hour to paint it correctly? I made sure that when I did my rockwell, I took the extra time to make it look just like the day it left the factory.
