5 & 6 lug axle

are there any 5 lug axles that can be used in a 6 lug rearend??

if your ride is a 70, you can just slide in 71/72 axles.

so theres no 5 lug axle the same lenth as a 67-68 ??

I'm sure there are some...but it has not been known on here yet. Pull one of yours out, take very precice measurements, and head to a junk yard.
Bout the only thing I can think of.

oh, my bad,,,
well i know for fact that 77 electra 8.5" axle and 79 caddy de ville 8.5" with 12 bolt carrier inside are 55"-55 1/4" from backside to backside of outer ring of backing plates, which is 1/4" to 1/2" narrower than 64-69 12 blt truck axles, i dunno measurement form drum face to drum face though on any of them, never really have measured that. gonnna add on around 2.5" per side for that

big, I'm thinking about going thursday and driving back and then depending on whats going on, I might go back fri. or sat. I' d kinda like to make the maggie valley show. Too much going on in the same w/e.
