F/S 68 SWB Fleetside Bed
I just purchased a 68 c10 for my son and have begun restoring the truck. I will try to keep everyone posted on the progress. He is only 12 so we have plenty of time.
The truck came with an extra bed. We want to use the bed with the wooden floor so we are trying to sell the steel bed. The sides are in really good condition. The steel bed has 3 holes in it, one the size of a silver dollar due to rust and 2 the size of a quarter due to the previous owner using extra long bolts to bolt the bed down. All could be easily patched. It does have surface rust on the bed floor but I believe in overall excellent condition. We are not trying to get rich on the sale so we would like to get $350 obo. We would be willing to make a partial trade for a power steering and tilt column. |

Put me first in line. Are all the support braces underneath solid ? If so, will you take $ 300. 7-17 or 7-18. Scratch

One support is cracked and could be welded since it is a smooth break, I could do it here before it ever leaves.. One support is directly under the area that rusted through so it has a portion of the support that has rusted away.
This does not come with a tailgate. I have tried twice to post pictures and am unsure why it won't upload. I will keep trying. I have some things I am doing this morning and afternoon but I will be home around 5:00 pm. If you would like to PM me you phone number I would be glad to call when I get back home. No need for the bucket seats but may be interested in the van tilt. |

I don't have a van tilt. You answer several posts with one post. That may be why no one has given you $ yet. We don't know who's on first. Second base ?

Justascatch you pm'ed me on Saturday and I sent you my schedule for Sunday along with my cell number. You never called so I don't know if that leaves you at the top or moves you down. According to the time you answered you are first on the list. Problem is someone else was on the list before you and they fell through or at least never showed up when they stated they would. I just want to sell the bed to the first individual that comes up with the cash. I am below the bed's value and not trying to screw anyone around.

Is there any bondo that you know of? Are you set up on PayPal? I think I could come down this weekend.

first come first served.
No bondo that I can tell. The bed is in good shape and a great deal for someone. I don't know about the protocal on this board but I will sell to the first person that brings me the cash. Too many that want to be first that don't show up or call. I am out part of the day Saturday but available after noon on Sunday and the remainder of the day.

If you don't hear from the other two, let me know. I have another deal that may bring me down to Dallas tomorrow or Saturday. Do you do PayPal?

I don't do pay pay. Is there an advantage to doing pay pal? Do you receive a discount or does it keep you from having to carry cash?
PM me and I will send you the address and my phone number. |

Paypal
Paypal is just more convenient and it seems more and more people are signing up. They do charge a fee and I believe selling is a little higher of a fee than buying when using Paypal.
IMHO

the buyer/sender doesn't pay a fee. last time i checked the seller/reciever of the money has to pay about a 3% fee for the 1st $100. i forgot what it goes too after that.

I wasted another Saturday waiting around for someone to come look at the truck bed. The bed will now be sold to the first person that shows up with the cash. If you are interested call me at 972-530-1539. I am in Garland, TX.
If the bed is not sold by Wednesday I will have a friend post it on e-bay and the price will go up to recoup cost associated with selling on e-bay. |

willing to trade
I need several things to begin working on the 68 that I would be willing to trade the bed for.
Parts I need: AC/Heater control for the dash. Tilt column Power steering setup (pump, gear, hoses, brackets) Disk Power brake set up. (rotors, calipers, power booster and bracket, hoses, proportioning valve and master cylinder. Let me know what you are willing to trade. |
