What did you get done?

I spent the weekend running calls, then watched my daughter play her final volleyball tournament of the season last night. They had a tough final and lost in end. They ended up second place. Not bad, but it should have been better.

Today I spent the day "trying" to work in my yard. I got started working on some drainage around my pool, and it rained. I took a shower and napped for an hour. Then the sun came back out so I went at it again. Once more it rained, so I took a shower and ate lunch.

The sun came back out so I gave it one more shot. You guessed it, the rain came again. Once again I took a shower and spent some time on Ebay. I decided to give it one more try and worked another couple of hours. It didn't rain again, but I still needed another shower. Now I'm off to get some dinner.

What did you get done?

Worked Sat, then saw Wedding Crashers afterwards. Today I watched the NASCAR race, took a nap, and unsuccessfully tried to convert these laserdisc to DVD (I then ordered a different RF modulator...hopefully that will do the trick).

MORE TRUCK WORK MANNNN!

Lol, who am I to talk, I didn't touch the truck this weekend. However I did get my flanges in, so the header building can now commence! Also sold my Hedmans on ebay tonight (sunday) so that's a few more bucks for new parts.

Not much this weekend.

I had to work yesterday until about 3pm. I got home & thought I would do some engine cleaning. Just as I got everything dragged out of the garage . ..... it started raining & I had to put everything back up. I hit the couch & watched some movies w/the GF.

Today I did a positive batt cable on my buddies '01 Z28. It wasn't hard to do but it sure was a pain in the a%$. They wrap the ground & pos cables together where they route to the starter & then route the other pos leads across the engine compartment. It took a while to remove everything, un-tape it all, replace the coroded cable, re-tape & then re-install.

After that it started raining again here so I cleaned-up & then relaxed/watched Tony climb the fence after winning the race & then the Ranger lose to the A's after a lonnnnnnnnnnnng game. Tonight we went to the movies & saw 'Batman Begins'. Decent flick. I liked it.

sat i spent half of the day cleaning the old house... thats alot of crap.... has filled almost 2 industrial (8'x22'x4') dumpsters.. rest of the day me, my wife, and daughter ran some errands and spent some money.

sun i worked 13.5hrs... and then did nothing...

havent done anything truck related in the past month except use it to tow cars/trucks off the property and use it to haul trash from house to dumpster across the property.. it is in desperate need of a front end rebuilt but its getting used to much at the moment to have it down for any length of time..

Ok, I did something 73-87 related this weekend. I went looking for an '87 pickup. And I found one. I am supposed to pick it up today. Now I have a '73 Chevy C10 project , a 78 GMC Jimmy Project and a 1987 Chevy Driver. Plus I have a complete test parts truck for being a guinea pig for project testing/perfecting.

BTW, I don't like the color, but I loved the history of reciepts the guy has. A/C works, dual tanks work, power windows work (drivers is new), has an aftermarket CD player - works, new mufflers, new brakes, rebuilt transmission (1 year old), replaced motor with a 89 with 89K miles. etc. Guy had all the reciepts for this stuff.

Here is a pic of the truck:

Thanks. There were a couple of places/dents on it that need some attention, but for a daily I am not going to worry about it. I will post pics of the rest of it. Put it this way, I made $10K on the sale of the Jeep, so you can guess where the rest of the money is headed...

Well, Chris bought a truck and I sold one. I've been trying to sell my '77 shortbed for over a year and it seemed like nobody was even interested. I finally got a call last week, met the guy on Saturday and he took it. I had to come waaaaaaay down from my original asking price, ended up getting only $3500 out of it, but I'm just glad to see it go to someone who will pay more attention to it than I was able to.

Then, I bought a van
