Man, I hear ya!
For years we had this 69 Camaro with a 1/2 ton 4x4 suspension floating around town with a For Sale sign in the window. It went from parking lot to parking lot and all I could think of when I saw it was, "WHY?"

I remember in the mid to late 80's when that was popular and seeing many cars like that. Hell that's when you could buy a convertible 67 chevelle for $3500 and many more for dirt cheap. When I bought my 56 belair sport coupe ($1,000 in 1987), my buddies were constantly trying to get me to do that. No Way!

I have heard of this being done with El Caminoes. An old neighbor of my dad's did that to his and my dad believes that the guy stole the driveshaft off his ford for it.

It's something different I guess. I got a 86 Iroc parts car if I had the chassis and a title it would be "walking tall".

There was a Delorean rolling on 38s, around Austin, Texas for years. I haven't seen it in a while, maybe I should drive down and look for it again.

A buddy of mine's dad did that to a 70 model Mach 1. Put it on a bronco frame. Had a 428 cobra jet and 4 speed. I asked him why and he said it was all just lying around and he wanted to go to the Canadian River. He was a F@rd man from way back and he had some of the rarest stuff I have ever seen.

I have seen a 71 Elky on a 4x4 frame running around this area. I don't mind the looks. Got to admit I don't see them everyday like my wifes 98 Tahoe (dime a dozen).

This is the precise reason I have my 70 Burb. There is not another around and I like to be different.
