Didn't this come up before as a 4x4 conversion? If it is a small block 2X4 with t-350 then it should have a low tranny hump. This one has a hi hump. No hole for the 4 speed (if it was original 4 speed) The high hump it has is for a Big block. That is the way that I remember it anyway. Something to ponder anyway. WES

It's a conversion, you can see the rear leaf spring mount in the picture below. This and the bolt in hump gives it away...

Nothing wrong with a conversion, as long as the price reflects it and it isn't mis-represented, which I feel could be the case reading the ad...

I'll bet it has 6 lugs on it, which isn't right for a 72 2wd blazer...

Tynee, you should be wary of anyone on Ebay with less than a 99% feedback rating, regardless of how many transactions they have. At least check out the feedback on anyone lower than that before you bid. Take this advice from one who's been burned............

I absolutely check out the feedback of ANY seller, regardless of their score, before bidding. I guess I'm just a little more forgiving, figuring that any seller with transactions in the triple digits is going to have some crack-heads that aren't happy no matter what.

Then you understand my point. I'm a low volume Ebay buyer -120 in 7 years- who has a 99.2 rating. This is due to 1 "crackhead" with a 95 rating and over 2,000 transaction in 3 years, who raked me over the coals for posting a neutral feedback on his sale. I couldn't in good consciousness post a negative, because I got my order, but it was over 2 months, and several emails with no response from him before it finally arrived. I'll shorten this up, forewarned is fore armed. Be very careful on Ebay of anyone with less than a 98 regardless of how many transactions they have had. If you still want what they have to sell, read their feedback, AND their responses to any negatives they received. Had I bothered to read this bozo's response to the negatives, I'd have never bought his product. This guy had a MAJOR problem with customer relations. I will now return this post to the VEHICLE forum it is intended to be...................

The other dead give-a-way is the fact that the top of the frame rails are not notched like all other 2 wheel drive chassis. They are full width like the 67s and the 4X4s. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Wes, I didn't even know there was a difference there. Why are they different?

Vin # is wrong as well for a 2 wheel drive. After 5 days and 2 e-mails he finally provided it. CKE 182F185535

Those cutouts alow for the Big Block exaust manifolds. The 72 BB towers wouldn't even bolt on without those areas cut. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
