She's back home and ready for final assembly!

Finished wet sanding and buffing tonight, she's slick as glass. It was fun watching the bugs try to land on it and sliding right off

It's called golf because all the other four letter words were taken.

The final paint is the one thing I didn't do (this time). 1) I didn't have the proper place to do it and 2) I wanted it to come out right the first time. I do however plan on painting my next project. One of our friends who was a brick mason by trade sprayed it and did the final cutting and buffing.

Enjoy the final assembly time with the blazer, then go out and enjoy all the thumbs up's and waves you'll be getting while driving it!

Really nice job.

Thanks. You're going to have to bring your blazer down to Pigeonforge next May!

Looks great. Maybe I'll get mine done by next May. If Luv gets GQ done and Vt comes down there's 4 Blazers at Pigeon Forge. We got a meet started. Again looks great and congratulations.

NuBomb & LUV, git-r-dun! VT (and everyone else with a blazer), start making plans to get down here next May. That show difinitely needs a bigger Blazer presence.

Its only taken a year and 5 months to get this far, the payoff is near (although my accountant keeps telling me I'm in the red).

wow

I really like the 2 tone. looks really cool.
I just spent 2 days (trying) to line up a new fender, on a straight truck, so I'm really apreciating your body lines right now. I think I'll have to go sweade black to hide my *****en body work, after I weld up all the holes from the scrapped CST trim.
Cant wait to see it finished.
p.s. how do you get the K5 Blazer emblems back on the fenders after its all pretty and painted, you gotta loosen 'em back up again
damnit, I just got it straight ( with some blocks, and pry bars, and ovaled out holes
Later, have fun with the rest of the final build.

PM me some details, it's only one thousand miles away.
Dates, places available to stay, family stuff to do...that kinda stuff.
Or via e-mail, it's in my profile, Thanks.

We'll know were close when we see the 'orange' glow.

Here's a link to details for the last show. Show was the first weekend of May but was moved to the 2nd weekend this year, so not sure if it will stay the same or change...

The orange glow is tempered with some white. This is Big Orange Country you know.

All kinds of stuff to do. Come down through WV and go rafting down the New River Gorge, stop at Bristol Motor Speedway, three very large TVA lakes close by (Douglas Lake is a hop skip and a jump from Pigeonforge and is the biggest), your wife could shop for a week at all the outlets, tons of attractions for the kids, Dollywood them park and Dollywood Splash country water park in pigeon forge, visit Neyland Stadium and sing Rockytop,...........................

"p.s. how do you get the K5 Blazer emblems back on the fenders after its all pretty and painted, you gotta loosen 'em back up again " (steve n 69 69 69)

Nope-here is how to do it:
1--go to NAPA and buy BALKAMP PART# 665-1457--Barrel-type speed nut-3/16 stud size for 7/32 hole (photo of part below).
2--insert one in each emblem hole.
3--before inserting emblem add a small washer to each stud (this will offset the emblem the thickness of the washer from touching the fender--no dirt build-up behind it).
4--We will also be using some of these on our trim in the blind holes.

New mirrors, door handles, marker lights installed. Inside of doors finished. Lower trim on one side finished-one piece of upper. Tail lights and backup lights in. He checked on seats today-about 1/2 done. Tailgate trim ready to go on-rear bumper next. I will try to get him to take a photo when one side is finished

Thanks for the tip on the emblems jhow66! That will be a big help to me since my fenders and inner fenders are installed on my 69.
