Transfer Case

Anybody know the paint code for the transfer case on the 71's. I can tell that it was originally painted a red/orange color. Is it just chevy orange? Thanks

The transfer case is a rather different shade of red. My son mixes the color for hours and it matches quite well. I believe that he mixes black with safety red until he gets the right shade.

It is a Mopar red color. At the time, New Process Gear was 100% owned by Chrysler Corp. and all the 205s were painted the same color. You might find it as a color match paint for some Mopar application. I painted mine Chevy Orange.

I agree with Jim and Tim. It is definately NOT chevy orange. I bought a new adapter for my 205 and painted it chevy orange. I left the tcase alone. The tcase is no where near the adapter's new color.
