Question '69/'76 Parts Help?

I have a '69 K20 with 350, Rockwell T221 xfer case, Eaton HO52 rear axle, closed-knuckle Dana 44 front (4.56's), and non-power drum brakes all around. I have a 4 wheel drive problem and am not sure if it is in the front diff, or the t-case.

Here's my Question: I have found a '76 K20 rolling chasis/cab that has a GM 12-bolt posi rear, open-knuckle disc brake Dana 44 front (4.10's), power brake booster and proportioning valve. Will these parts fit my '69??? I am not so much concerned with driveline length, but is the spring perch width the same on the '69 and '76??? Will the steering bolt up?

Anyone that has a good knowledge of parts interchangability, I could really use some help here. Any info is much appreciated.

Thanks In Advance . . . .

Brian

P.S. If the parts swap works out, is there anyone interested in this Eaton HO52 rear axle?

Spring perches need to be moved on the rear axle. You probably need a different rag joint end on the steering shaft(gearbox). Booster I don't believe will bolt up and the rod would be different.

I believe that '76 will have an NP203 in it as well. You will need to modify/lower the cross member. You will most likely need the transmission and adapter out of the '76 if you are going to use the t-case.

There are rebuild kits available for the rockwell. My buddy rebuilt his divorced unit using a kit and some spare parts from a married unit (one of the shafts welded itself to a race.) He got the kit from Billy Bobs Off Road in Puyallup, WA. I think he said it was around $100. He got the parts t-case at a swap meet for $50.
