How To Replace Vent window handles

I was wondering how can I remove and replace the vent window handle in my 72?

Using a 3/32" punch drive out the small pin in the handle and the handle will come off easily. Putting it back together is pretty easy also but you have to compress the wave washer to get the pin to drive in straight. I would suggest adab of grease on the shaft after cleaning it.

If you want to remove the part out of the window, the inside ferrule is threaded onto the outside part. The ferrule has two flats on it to fit a 9/16" open end wrench. Since the glass retains the outside part take care not to put two much force on the ferrule or you could possibly break the glass.

A 6 penny nail works for pushing out the pin also if you don't have a punch.
