Well, got my new gas tank installed...so fun

For those that have installed a gas tank kit on your blazer, I've joined the "never want to do that again" club First I had to drop PO's custom tank...must be about 40 gallons or so, then I had to figure out install. Instructions? of course not, why should they include
I wrestled with it, the hoses and the brackets and in the end I won! I also had to cut out a huge, VERY heavy bumper that had been welded to the frame by PO. It is heavy.
Between the custom tank and the bumper, I must have shed about 250 pounds from the rear of the k5.

If you have questions about the install, feel free to ask. No pics yet, but maybe i can get in next few days if needed.

ME TOO!! (joined the club over the weekend)
Didn't do a gas tank but I did change out a set of controll arm bushings and installed a new set of rear coil springs, so yeah...I'm in that club for sure.

At least your tanks done now.

Luckily the PO had used hose for the custom tank installed previously that fit the new tank. I re-used this hose. I still need to plug two outle/inlets that come out of the new tank. Not sure of there purpose, but I'm sure I dont need them(not the breather).
You were right though, not an easy one.

Hmmm....I'm hoping I got everything installed ok. I have not filled with gas or started yet. I do run an electric fuel pump(external) so I hope that it works ok with new tank(old was PO custom tank).
