Bought a new truck already... Hey, I work fast...

95 F150 SC 4x4 Eddie Bauer w/87,000 miles, tow, all power, 351 w/auto, color matched shell, GOOD service records, beautiful interior and good exterior... I will post pics soon, I will be picking it up in a few hours. Paying cash, got him down to $7,100- it's fair market value is $7,800. Good truck, no loan payments, I am pretty excited.

Oh, and before you say anything, I have had 2 mid 90's Chevy 4x4s (94 and 96), and have not had any luck with them- especially regarding the front suspension and drivetrain- cv's, bjs's tie rods, front axle actuator, etc.

So, since I was looking for a mid 90's 4x4 Ext Cab, and my track record with Chevy's is poor, a Ford was the only choice for me this time.

Keep an eye, I will show you pics soon.

I am not a die hard Ford or Chevy guy... I have had both throughout the years, so I am not biased one way or another and have had good and bad experiences with each. I just pick what I want and/or what works best for me. This time it so happens to be a Ford.

Sounds like you got a good deal. I like the F150 SuperCrews. Post some pictures when you get a chance.

I'm with you Redz 1970 K5, I like all different kinds of vehicles, it's what you do with them that counts. Sounds like a great buy, good luck with it.

Here's some pics gents-

Anyone that says this isn't a steal for $7,100 needs to get a new monitor or clean their glasses. Or clean their monitors and get new glasses. Or both. You get the idea. Regardless of the badges on the side, this is gonna be my ride for a while. Thanks for the support guys.

You can polish a furd, but all you have is a shiney furd. Good luck with it, but a blazer is so much COOLER!

I have very good friends that own Fords, ( excuse the language) and I don't hold it against them. Good luck.

I've owned a few Fords. Our other car is an 04 Explorer. I really like the new F150 crew cabs. There are some nice lifted ones around town.

Don't be a stranger just because you sold the K5. Are you in Cali or SLC now?

I am officially settled in SLC now, thanks for asking.

I won't be a stranger. I am a lot smarter now in regards to these old trucks. If I could walk away from one lesson, it's never to take over someone elses project. Next time, I am starting from scratch. I am going to find grandpa's old truck, never had a single thing bolted to it, and bone stock. Buying other's projects can be very problematic and frustrating as I have found out. Everyone has their own way of doing things, and more people cut corners then those that do not. I would rather deal with replacing rusted panels then figuring out why someone destroyed the wiring harness, and why the LH blinker never worked and troubleshooting a ghost short.

I am a 67-72 Chevy/GMC guy when it comes to old pick ups because I really enjoy mine. But I also like some old Ford trucks like the Hi-Boys. But when it comes to late model stuff I will not buy a GM product or a Dodge I will stick to a Ford. Nice truck I know you'll like it allot it should make a nice comfortable dependable daily driver for you.

Hey XR650RKING - redz 1970 K5 has been with us for a long time, through thick and thin and shared the build up of his K5. He has lots of friends here, and we are all interested in what happens to him. He was just "sharing". We are sorry he had to let his K5 go but happy for him he found a nice looking vehicle for a DD. Don't be so quick on the draw.

Just talked to the new Blazer owner... He has already put a custom interior in and 40" tires on 20" RIMS! I will try and get some pics for you guys- I still have to meet him to give him the title. Guy must have really deep pockets or something.

You said it mister... Course, he's just polishing a turd right now. He sees a cool truck on 20s, I still see a truck that needs some help. Eventually it will catch up with him. Course, he will probably just have it framed off and not even get his hands dirty.

Suits me just fine... I forgot what cold AC and a nice quiet ride was like!

Very nice, I have to say ford is the way to go for a newer truck. We have a 95 F250 PowerStroke, a 96 F250 351, my 00 F250 V10, and are planning on a newer F250-350 Powerstroke. All of the trucks are used on our farm and have never let us down. I think they are built for more ruff work than a newer chevy. Don't get me wrong the chevy's are nice, we are die hard suburban fans. But the burbans don't take near the abuse.
