Headers

I bought a set of headers for my 66 C20, 327 V8. Problem is what to do with the brackets for the alternator and power steering pump. The both bolt into the manifold. Of course the headers don't have bolt holes for mounting these items.
I need advice on how and where to mount the brackets for the alt and ps pump if I use the new headers.

They make a bracket that uses the front two bolts on the headers & have spacers that throws it out away from the front tube. This is used for the bottom bolt that holds the alternator & there's an extra long curved sloted bracket that bolts to one bolt on the water pump that holds it out when you tighten up the alternator belt. As far as the PS, I never had PS on my 65'. Maybe someone else as.
Good Luck!

Headers

I solved my problem today by visiting Autozone. They have brackets made by Spectre (PN: 42273 and 42283, $11.99 each) that are for pre-69 Small block Chevy's with the short water pump. One bracket fits in the same holes as the header and the other bracket comes off of it, like the letter "F" and the alternator bolts on there. Still have a problem with the power steering pump and will have to research more on that.
