Question tie rod end ?

has any body have trouble with different sized ends on the inner tie rod end?I used a 72 gmc front crossmember for the disc conv.now i'm rebuilding, new shafts and ball joints and outer, inner tierod ends. the new inners are way smaller than the origanals, i got every thing for a 72 chevy when i ordered new parts, and now i remembered i used the gmc front end,the ? is is this normal or did someone prior to me use 3/4 ton parts or is the gmc just heavier.now i need to get new center link to match the chevy 1/2 ton parts i have.

I did the same conversion a year ago, and I had to use the centerlink from the donor '71. I don't remember if the holes were bigger or smaller, but I remember they didn't match, and this was 1/2 ton Chev to 1/2 ton Chev.
