Drum Brake star adjuster maintenance

Why don't professional mechanics put never-sieze or other lube on GM star adjusters??? I just had to take back brakes apart and free them up. The truck belonged to a guy at work and had the brakes done 1-1/2 years ago at a place I thought did great work. He had all new brakes/cylinders/master and hoses put on at the time. I hate it when mech's don't do the job right. A quick dab of never seize would have made my life soo much easier.
