Thought I'd share some pics of my truck before the tear down. Another couple of weeks and its time for a tear down and rebuild. The door bottoms are bubbling and inside bottoms seem to be filled so need to get rid: http://www.kylerodandcustom.com/leenimmo2.html Plans? OUT: Hideous hood bulge Suspension as present ( too low for the speed bumps here) old Tonneau fender sides/rails dependin repairability IN: New Brightwork New windshield & upper screen repair panel Powdercoat wheels Refurb Chassis & Drivetrain Fresh Interior ECE Suspension kit 1/4 plus 2.5"drop spindles New bed wood Engine rebuild Fresh Paint So will see how that goes....... loads of parts stashed so now is the time to get going..... plan is next may but we'll see, best laid plans and all... Cheers Lee

The pictures sure don't show it being bad. Nice truck. Good luck on the overhaul. Of course you must provide us pictures of your antics in the rebuild.

As far as I know it's the only one in scotland, but am not sure.
There are 5 others I have seen varying from 67-72 at various other shows in the UK, not including a 72 GMC long wide (which is now up for sale and I nearly bought that too but saw sense :-(, a 72 long step and I know of another 5 guys with 67-72's so I reckon maybe about 20 in the country although I could be well short of the mark. The 50's trucks are becoming really popular over here just now with lots of them popping up in various stages of rebuild, some real good ones too. However the 50's Chevy's are silly money. I love mine though. It's a 72 with a 68 front clip which I think is the best of both worlds, 5 lugs, power brakes and steering, coil springs etc but it looks like a 68. Just needs some tidying, especially along the legendary screen frame which has rotted (on the inside) and is bubbling along th seam on the top of the roof, but that was was the major reason for starting a rebuild, also taking out the crappy aftermarket sunroof which is leaking and compounding the problem. My buddy is going to go to work on his english wheel and make me up a plate and we'll fill it back to stock. Havent decided on colour yet. Love it black but quite like the GM deep dark blue but that's a way off yet... need to get the chassis cleaned up first and the cab back to sound shape before worrying about paint colour. Will kepp you posted and no doubt be asking lots of questions..... Later Lee
