Trans Kick Down Cable "Help"

I've changed my manual trans to a 350 turbo and now I need the kick down bracket to connect it to the intake manifold or carb. Does anyone have a picture of one? It would have to be for a 70 on back due to the rod linkage for the carb, not cable linkage. Where can I locate one?

thanks..........

I used the bracket from a 71 on my 69 setup, (with an accelerator rod). The brackets are available from GMC Pauls.

I can take a pic later today if you like.

Steve, have you checked the local junkyards?. I'm pretty sure Pep Boys in White Marsh sells the chrome ones made by spectre for about $8.

When I had a 2bbl carb on my 4x4 I used the bracket off my 71 Monte that had a 2bbl carb and th350. (I swapped a 3-speed manual for the th350 in the truck).
When I put the 383 in with an Edelbrock carb, I bought Edelbrock's adjustable bracket.

I think any one will work as long as your donor has a similar carb. (4bbl truck = 4bbl donor, 2bbl truck = 2bbl donor)

Need pics.......The ones I've seen at the local auto stores are for a cable accelerator and looks like the acc rod would get in the way.

70c10 (Jim), Haven't had any luck at the local yards. Again, was hoping to see a picture of one. If not, I might try the chrome one you talked about......

thanks all......

Here is a picture of my setup. The 71 cable bracket is just behind the vacuum line for the brake booster in the stock location.

Sorry the pictures are blurry. I don't know how to override the auto focus on my digital camera.

I used an Edelbrock piece to connect the throttle rod to the carb. I also used an Edelbrock kick down cable bracket.

Everything clears just fine.
