Spindles & Rotors

Hey guys i know yall all have looked and may have done this, who knows the cheapest and easyest way to go from drum to disc brakes and stay six lug. I know how to do the rear all but the brackets? I am wanting to get all this together so when i tear the front down to paint ill have it to back and want have to tear back down. I am building a 68 step side... If i knew how to post a few pics i would show before and tear down.

There are a few threads in the FAQ for this. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php3?t=35042 is one. Someone else posted using the 71 up spindles and the rotors off of a 88 up 3/4 ton.

GMCPAUL has 6 lug rotors that I believe are a direct bolt on to the 71 disc setup.

This last weekend Chickenwing and I saw many, I say many, junk yard trucks with complete and good looking front disc brakes. A couple of them had been converted. The next time I go to Pick 'n Pull I will check the prices.

I am willing to help any board member with junkyard parts or what I have in my backyard. As most of you know it is the shipping that kills most of these deals. I am going to setup a Ghound Package Xpress account and start using that. I hear it save a bunch of cashola!
