Outboard Fuel tanks needed, 1972 fleetside
The two tanks were removed before I bought the truck. The plumbing to the tanks is remaining, including the doors in the side of the bed forward of the rear wheels. I would like to replace the tanks to increase my range. Would you know where I moght find replacements? Or, new plastic tanks that would fit the location?
Thanks. Rich

Tanks
I have these, that I removed from my longbed 71 K10 and have it stored at a friends house for a few months now. Only the tank in the picture is available. Non of the other stuff attached to or next to the tank in the picture are available. The good news is they were being used in my 4x4 before I swapped beds, better news is they are free, the bad news is, they have to be picked up in San Pablo, CA at his convenience.

I have some free ones in Seattle just like greenhorn's (free too). But mine are not quite as nicely painted as those. The price is right and they were dealer installed on my '67 long fleetside.

I will be going to Glacier National Park over Labor Day Weekend. I am not sure I can fit them into the Element but I could get them much closer to you. I will check the Greyhound shipping.

That would be awsome if you can, sounds like a sweet weekend. I wanted to ask 2 ?'s. Any rust or dents in the tanks? Do you still have the bolts and/or nuts that hold them on.
Thanks, Scott |
