Shorty Burblazer

First, I'm new here and wanted to say hi. Not new to classic trucks (check my links).

Forgive me if this has already been posted, but this thing is bada$$ I've been wanting to do this, or shorten one but keep the third door and dummy door with the wheel well notch like new tahoes. I think it looks better than the Blazers because of the square door corners and the full quarter windows. The only drawback is no removable top.

I wonder if it's a shortened Burb or a Blazer with a shortened burb roof on it. Anyway you slice it, it looks to be very well done.

I found it here bottom center. All it says about it is "You may think you’re looking at a ’71 Blazer, but you’re actually viewing a ’71 Suburban that’s had a fair amount of metal surgery. Credit the ’Burb’s owner Robert Bates for the sheetmetal magic."

I really like the look. I'd call it a Blazurb or a Sublazer.

Welcome from Ohio. That is great looking. I love everything about it. Reminds me of a early 90's two door tahoe (full size blazer)

Blazurban

I did these quick chops like a year ago. This is not my Burb (wish it was).

I REALLY would like to see the middle one done. I have been thinking about that for awhile. I would also chop the top about 1"-2" to get the fat out.

Attn Musclerodz: This one was done a few years ago

This one was chopped a little and shortened about a foot if I remember correctly. I saw it at SEMA in 02 or 03

Yeah, the I've seen the green and silver one it's He only shortened the ass-end though. I agree with Musclerodz that the Tahoe/Yukon style Burb (the middle one) looks the best. I'm considering doing that to mine after the '61 is done. Basically move the wheel-wells forward 12" then chop 20" out of the butt and put it on a shortbed frame.

If you want it to look like the middle one I think I am pretty sure it will need to go on a long wheel base pickup frame. Otherwise, it will look like that first pic in this post, a long blazer.

Suburban and longbed truck wheelbase=127" Shortbed=115" Blazer=104" The first pic in the post looks like they used a Blazer frame to me. The "middle" one I posted is done roughly to the proportions of a swb truck.

The more I look at it, I agree. I wasn't considering there is no cab behind the front door. Has anyone seen one done like that yet?

I saw one with 3-4" out of the middle. Just enough to remove the fixed little window in the rears, then some also out of the ass. I have yet to see one done like the middle "Tahoe" version I posted. I'll dig up that pic. I think it was in a mag.

Thanks for the link. I saw that pic recently and was wondering what it started as

Badass truck!

the green one was chopped 10 inches in the back and they took the crown out of the roof. They also chopped it 2 inches.

I secretly stock this truck
