Ideas for the front grill?
Would like to close up the openings in the front of the grill of the 68 with something similar to the new grills coming out today with the honecomb. Any one got pics or other ideas. Want to make it a show quality truck.

I'm not sure how wide, but I think that you might be able to take some gutter wire, (the kind that keeps the debris out of the gutter), and cut it to fit in the openings. I think that it should be paintable, and I think that there's different widths available. I think that it should work, never seen it done. I have a 72, so with out some brainstorming, I don't think they make gutter wire wide enough...

Here's what was in my '67. I removed it because I want a clean uncluttered look. Send me a PM if you're interested, probably wouldn't be much trouble shipping it to TX. It's in 3 pieces and attaches with screws to the backside of the grille. I dunno if '68 is similar to '67, that's how it attached to my truck. Got more pics on website if you want 'em.

Here is my 69 GMC. I didn't like the "open" grill so I wanted the openings hidden some and this is what I came up with. I have a roll of wire mesh, expanded aluminum that is about 4" wide and I think anout 104" long I bought to do mine with but I didn't use it I went with what's in the picture. If you'd be interested in the aluminum I can find it and get some pics and a price. Just et me know.

IMHO leave the grill as it was intended. That looks the best for any year!

I saw somebody had the white plastic lattice from Homo Depot for a grille.LOL.I`m not a fan of non-original grilles but that ia a good idea that will look ok.I think that Scooter67`s grille looks right.Especially for a 4wd.
