Edelbrock 1904 still available?

I am considering buying a new carb for my truck. I want a quadrajet, and I wanted a new carb, not rebuilt. I have a parts store rebuilt carb on the truck that was put on right before I bought it, and it has never run right.

I used to hear a lot around here about the Edelbrock 1904. It sounded as though this was an emissions legal carb that would work right out of the box. I looked at them before in Summit or Jegs, but now I can't find it. I could not even find it on the Edelbrock website. Is it still being produced?

EDIT: Odd. I found it by on the Edelbrock website by googling just now, but could not find it this morning by simply going to their site and looking under "carbs." It appears that the 1904 is the correct part number. Where is a good place to buy one?

I was said over in the engine and drivetrain fourm that Edelbrock stopped making the Quadrajet.

They still have the remanufactured Quadrajets, just not making any brand new ones anymore. I'm sure someone will still have a few around that havent been bought yet.

My understanding is the same. Edelbrock is no longer making them (or having them made).
I have been happy with mine so far.
I did get a damaged one from Jegs.
The thread for the big nut at the filter was damaged and leaked like crazy.
Jegs didn't give me any problems with returning it for a replacement.

Damn. I finally decide to spring for one, and they quit selling them. Anyone know of a place that has them in stock?

Sallee Chevrolet is still showing them for sale on their website. Call them at 1-800-545-0048. Their latest pricesheet which was updated on 7/28 is showing a price of $502.44.
