FS: complete SMOOTH running 250-6/3sp with HD clutch
well since i was able to finally get my 305/2004r swap done to my 74 C10, ive decided to sell my very smooth running 250-6... it is complete and detailed with freshly rebuilt and correctly tuned 1bbl, HEI with new cap, rotor, coil, ig module, plug wires and plugs, and all factory sensors and smog equipt. The head was redone in the spring of 2003, and included 3 angle valve job on original valves with new seats and guides, it has original cam, but with new lifters and pushrods (no knocking or ticking). The muncie 3 sp was gone through also, has speedo drive gear for 3.73 rear and works, shifts like glass.. THey are still mated together with the optional HD clutch... the engine has 105,XXX miles original, uses VERY little oil (.5qt in 3000 miles).. the only reason im not using it is because i was given the 305, and had the 2004r for another project laying here.. I got a consistent 15mpg with combined driving and 19 hwy at 65.. I will include the 3 sp column with key, shifts mint no binding, it has a 74 cheyenne super woodgrain wheel on it... anybody interested please PM and we can make a deal, and i can deliver for fuel cost round this neck of the country till i start teaching again in september..

wanted to mention too, that this is a non integrated head design, and both i/e manifolds were sandblasted inside and out. I put alot of effort in bringing this motor back to reliable and it needs a good home...

How much $$ are you looking for? My 250 in my 67 just doesn't seem to run right and it would be great to get a nice runner in it.
