Ground to wheelwell measurements? (front)

Can a few of you guys tell me what the measurement is from the ground to the wheel well on the front of your trucks are, & with what drop you have.

I have 3" spindles & had 3" springs (6" total drop) but thought the control arms were a little too close to the ground for me. I cut 1 coil from my stock springs & put them back in but it sits HIGH now. Am I supposed to heat & flatten the bottom ring to make it look like the stock one? I took it back apart to check to make sure the springs were seated corectly & they were. Any help would be great. Thanks...corn

Are you saying it measures 27" or you are guessing that its 27"? Confused, I have 3" spindles & one coil cut & mine measures 27 1/2". It was 25 3/4" with spindles & 3" springs. I think I need to invest in some 2" springs & be done with it. Thanks for the response...corn
