Key-In-Ignition Warning Buzzer

Should my '86 Silverado have a "key-in-ignition" buzzer? If so, where would it be. I've locked myself out a few times and I just thought this would be a good feature to have.

Its basically a small clip that is installed in the steering column that provides 12 volts to the buzzer when the ignition is off and the key is in the column.

My 89 has one, but doesn't work very reliably. I am not so sure when they started installing them though...
