Thumbs up Stinkin badges... revisited....

You may remember a month or so ago, I obtained a 500 badge, and was thinking of placing it on the longhorn under the script. (Badges...yeah, i need some stinkin badges.)
Well, I mocked it up, and I'll have to agree that is does look out of place. And I'll also agree to it being kinda ricer-ish too.

So I thought I'd see what it looks like on a cheap old POS chrome air filter. I think I likes...
What do y'all think? does it look like da-shiznit.... or just looks like crap?

Too be honest, I don't think it looks all that bad below the Longhorn badge

The script is very close. I think it looks pretty good. A picture of it from farther away would help to see how well it matches up.

The side emblem doesn't look too bad Andy. I can leave or take the air filter though.

Well, I'll be the minority. I don't care for it on the filter, I like it on the fender better. Go with your heart man, Its your truck and it should be placed where you like it best. It doesn't matter where we like it.

I really like the Longhorn solo myself but then I am becoming a "stock" kind of guy. I would like to see the 500 on the front fender where the 350 and 400 engine badges go! But then I would make a 500 badge from two 350 badges!

I like matts little P/S, putting it closer just makes it blend it more.

I don't care much for the air filter one though.

I liked the air filter better until I saw the last pic. I would go for it with it up close to the Longhorn like you have it.

that does look better.
i don't like the way that the longhron script had the recesed black area and the 500 does not. If it did match, i'd be searching high and low.

Sounds cool. Can someone ps that together and show how it would be?

Andy,
Did you determine what that's off of, was it a Ford Galaxie (that's what I would guess)?

Attach it to a "For Sale" sign with the letters "OBO" after it, then place sign in truck window
