its got tinted glass
a full clear floor mat that protected the original carpet too

it had a camper in the back in the beging of its life
the spare tire lowers buy unlocking a pad lock on the bumper and pulling an aluminum bar and presto the tire is on the ground , push the bar in and the tire goes up.
also has a foldable step atached to the bumper, makes a nice seat for the car shows.

i saw this truck last monday and he was asking 12,000 worth it in my opinion
but i asked him to wait till this monday so i could see if there was anything i liked better at carlisle, there wasnt anything there i coulnt find something i didnt like on it. so i lowered my prices on the stuff i was selling and sold out by 1pm saturday than i was of to the bank for a large cash withdrawl.

called him up and struck the deal for $11,000 i am a very happy dude

That '71 is really sweet. She looks nearly showroom condition and nicely optioned too.

You don't see too many 71's with the original "Disk Brakes" Sticker remaining on the tail gate. The 72's lacked that sticker right?

That is a great find! And by the way, thanks for making me feel better about the value of my '71. Mine doesn't look exactly stock, but I have every stock item that belongs with it, including the wheel covers. You have just made me very happy that I held on to everything. Congrats on your find!

yes that is the original dealer tag and the second dealer tag is on the bottom of the tailgate . i have documetation that the name of the second dealer was also the an actual owner for some time his name is written on a custume sill plate and what im guessing to be his wifes name on the passengers side sill plate.
im gonna have to have my own personalized.

i do intend on contacting him to see if he can direct me to any more paper work or pryior owner to him.

I've Seen This One!!

Yep, John found one of the cleanest/original trucks still left to be found! Nice score John.

One quick addition without hi-jacking his thread.
John's post selling the 72 4x4 was very clear and concise.
Represented well in all the pics w/absolutley no surprises when we looked it over! Thanks John, well done.
In a nut shell...if he's selling parts, they are as described.

Enjoy your new truck!!
