A Little Help Needed From My Blazer/Jimmy Buds
I need to make a color decision...
Picked up a single walled top from board member 6t727t2 (thanks Harry) and now I need to decide between painting it black to match my trim/interior or painting it body color, med olive green... Most have seen my green blazer so sorry for the repeated pics. Here's a pic with the top black. I'm thinking 'it's alot of green' but I think it might look pretty good at the same time. Please feel free to post pics of body colored tops for reference purposes. |

I honestly think that the black looks just about perfect on your Blazer. Of course I'm biased against body color tops, they just don't seem right to me, too much of one color. But it is your truck, you can do what you want. Just to see what it looks like you should have somebody photoshop it body color, then you can decide which one "You" like best.

The black works pretty well for me. You've got a very nice green color on the body but it might be too much if you do the top the same. I wonder how it would look in white? I'm a bit biased towards the white top myself.

The black just looks awesome. Maybe a bit hotter in the summer than the other color but just looks great as it is.

Here's a quick color change to a green top. They both look great. The black is a little more classic, while the green looks more custom.

Black. Same color makes it look like a short Suburban instead of a Blazer! Needs the contrast IMO.

I think it looks awesome both ways. Not helping your decision, I know.

I agree, that with the black trim pieces, the black top is the way to go. Either way you still have one hot looking Blazer.

Ya, I think the black is the ticket also. If it was darker, you could go with white, but that black looks good right now. Jeff.

Definitely not white, but I kinda like the green better than the black. Have you considered a different/complementing shade of green? (ok, the gf and I are repainting our living room - paint talk is in my vocab at the moment....)

The Black complements the green and works well with the trim and tires. Just keep the interior of the top white as it keeps it bright in there.

Keep it black. I think it looks the best and is more stock. My glove box sticker for the Jimmy lists the hardtop as black and body color was same green as yours. I hope to someday return the Jimmy to its former color scheme.

Black has my vote. It pulls the interior colors together with the exterior and makes the 'eye' follow the colors from inside out to outside in.
Besides that, nothing beats black! (except maybe orange and white)

Black, I'm doing mine black if I get the time. I have been looking at my top sitting on saw horses in my yard for the past three years, thinking that it would look good black.

Black!
If it's too hot in the summer it's time to go topless or get that A/C working at peak performance.
