A/C blockoff plate
My truck has an A/C cab, but none of the AC stuff is hooked up. Anyways, I was thinking that it would really clean up the engine compartment if I got rid of that big box thing on the fire wall. Does any one make a block off plate that I can use, or can I just use a plate from a non-A/C cab?

You could probably get one through Vintage Air or similar vender. Remember, that will also take out your heater/defrost if you pull that box structure away.

I was thinking of doing the same. The cut outs are different for non a/c trucks so putting in just a heater core is a PITA.
I might just take the whole thing out rat-rod style. |

I have contacted Vintage Air and Old Air both. I asked for a plate so that I could proceed with my cab build now and install the kit later on. No reply from either. Hope you have better luck. Let me know what they say.

Yeah, I have to have heat, mainly for the defrost capability.
Looks like american grafetti has what I want, but ouch, a little pricey. I might just try making my own. |
