Brake Boosters, what's the difference?

Put power brakes on my 67 C20 with a unit from the junkyard. 30 years later,it has gone bad and the auto parts store needs to know if it is from a 1/2 ton or a 3/4 ton. Also, 67-70 are different than 71-72. Does anyone know if these are obvious size differences or are they different inside?
