Question Is it an improvment?

The way it was.

The way it is now. Different tires and wheels on the rear. Painted caps to match. What do you think? Don't be shy.

I like it. Don't you just love the way new tires ride?

I kinda like the white wheels with the same size tires all of the way around....just my 2 cents worth.

I think, with the black wheels, it would look better with a chrome cap....still looks good though. I like the rears. What size is that rim?

A combo of the 2 maybe? Wide on white is what I think would look good on it.

Shouldn't this be a poll?

Thanks for the feedback. Not to sure my exact plans right now. I just bought the the 16.5 deep boys yesterday. I put 33x12.5R16.5 on the rear. Running 235/85R16 on the front. I think that once I get some power steering, I will go with the 16.5 all the way around and run 33's. A chrome cap would be nice but
they were painted when I bought them and my hookup at the paint shop moved so having them dipped for free is not an option. I think that running wider tires will help towing the trailer across the globe. It is a little gloomey outside today for pic's but I had to take some.
Thanks again for your opinion,
Mario

tire in the 16.5 size are getting harder and harder to fnd. The prices are also going up too. Keep that in mind when getting rims.

I like the wide rears, but I'd probably like them better white.

I have 16.5 wheels, too. had white wheels with chrome dogdish caps with yellow bowtie. Then I went to Pomona and (although I wasn't looking for wheels) couldn't resist a set of aluminum wheels for 125.00. I bought 16.5 tires within the last year for my truck. The price wasn't too bad, but they didn't have BFG's, which I have on all my other vehicles. They are Continentals and they are fine.

i like the after pic the best. there's just something kinda cool about the original hubcaps on the 67-68 trucks that would compel me to keep them rather than going the mundane aluminum wheel route. nice job.

I like it but then again I'm bias. I'm thinking it needs a little more rake. Bring it back over and we'll take care of that. We'll put the other wide meats on the front with a little lower profile tire and then add some drop springs

Sounds good LeRoy BUT 1. the wife still thinks the 33's came with the weels. lol 2. if I did that she would defiantly kill me and probaply not even be kind enough to barry me. Not something I am ready for right now. Besides the truck is a 3/4 and I will do that when I build a '68 1/2 swb here in about 10 years. lol On a different note, I have been trying to get ahold of dude all week and I have had no luck. Maby he will be home today and I will get back to you on that bed. I am going to see if he has any 72 panels for nu-72. You wouldn't have any 72 fenders, doors, or a tailgate would ya?

There's a sweet 69 3/4 ton 4x4 burb in this auto trader I picked up. Looks real nice for 3995 OBO. Says it has leather seats also you can see a front winch, tires and lift

You should get some chrome or painted trim rings if you can find them. I like the second pic better but they are a bit too dark. Needs something to liven them up a bit.

LeRoy, sounds great. The wife won't let me buy another rig for a while. We had that conversation again today. I lost again. LOL I think that on our trip here in a few weeks, I will stay in Utah a few days longer than her and send her to Colorado. Then I will pick something up from my dads friend in Salt Lake and then meet her in Denver. At that point she will have two options:1 accept it and we will both go to Flordia. or 2 She can stay in Colorado with mommy. I know it sounds bad but who knows, it may work.
