Question about stepside bed interchange

I need a bumper and tailgate for my 84 stepside.

I thought the stepside bumpers were the same back to 67 and the tailgates back to 60.

Can anyone confirm this?

Does anyone know of a good aftermarket brand of bumper?

Don't know about the bumper, but I'm 99.9% sure the tailgates were the same.

67-87 tailgates interchange but I'm not sure about anything earlier.

Not sure on the step bumpers but.........................

I'm getting ready to replace my 84 C10 stepside bed with a fleetside and I have a super nice step bumper that I'll be selling. It's the short style Fey bumper that was a dealer installed item. Shipping might be a killer but I'll email some pics if you're interested.

Is this a stepside sport bumper or a step bumper? I would be interested in seeing the pictures if it is the sport bumper.

Mine is a step bumper.

Most of the stepsides around here have the wide style step bumper that sticks way out (looks like crap). The bumper on my truck is just about the same size as the tailgate.

I will post a picture of mine tomorrow, I am pretty sure mine is the sport bumper, its a stepside specific bumper I got at the junkyard, and has the two little pans that attach to the top of the bumper brackets, not sure what they are for, maybe to hide the brackets from being seen, but in my case, all they do is collect stones and dirt and snow when driving.
