BB valve covers
I've been told that our trucks with a BB should have the valve cover with a rubber plug for adding oil....but, almost every truck I see (here or e-bay) has the later twist on cap. What's up with that?? Is there a problem with the plug style?? Thanks

My guess is that you are seeing trucks that the owners have changed valve cover styles on. Personally, I like my newer style valve covers with the twist on oil cap, because they don't have the tendancy to leak around the opening like the old rubber plug did.

Thanks. I want to put the original ones back on my 70 BB, but would not if there was a problem with them.

Yeah they are a bear to get on and off, worth it to me though if they don't leak.
