steering play

I have a 98 z71 with 35x14.50x16.5 swamper radials and a 9" lift(6 suspension 3 body) and I have bad play in my steering. Any idea what I could do to fix this?

I had my wife turn both ways until she started feeling pressure and the steering arm never moved so I am sure that is bad, may find more things wrong as well, but starting from the top.

How about the rag joint? Might just need a new steering shaft, one w/ u-joints.

I run 35's and I found that too much air will make em be all over the place. I run about 20-25 lbs in my Swampers.
