wipers do not work anymore

My windshield wipers on my 67 chevy c10 quit working the a few weeks ago. Does anyone know how I can tell if it is the switch or motor that is bad. I tried to jump a few of the terminals after I removed the switch(hot wire the motor) but nothing seemed to work.

Any suggestions on what I can check?

I would check to see if you have voltage at the switch? Jumping the terms out won't do anygood if voltage isn't present to begin with, then you can check the switch for continuity when moving from one position to the next to see if that is good, and if the switch checks out and you have voltage at the switch, then check to see if when you turn on the switch that you are getting voltage to the motor, and if you are, then the motor is bad, hope this helps...... The wiper switch actually grounds the wiper motor. The wiper motor should have voltage at the motor. Check the yellow wires, (one for the wiper motor, the other for the washer pump). Both should read 12 volts with the ignition switch on.

If you have power at the motor, then ground either blue wire to check to see if the motor runs. If it does not run , the motor is probably bad. If it does run then the switch, wiring or ground is your problem.
