Help with transport....
I am hopefully selling a truck to a gentleman in Memphis, TN. I'm in Reno, NV. Anyone have some good leads on pricing for getting it transported? I would really appreciate the help. Thanks. The truck is a 1940 1/2 ton Chevy.

I am trying to get a truck from Muscle Shoals to Indianapolis. I did a search on ebay and found several independent haulers and a few big operators. The average rate for the independents seems to be $0.90 - 1.00 per mile. I had some quotes from the bigger guys in the range of $700-900 for the 450 mile haul.

The problem I see with the independents is getting them to follow through on a promise.


The truck must at least roll and steer, for anyone to want to deal with it.

I'm having a blazer shipped from NY to AZ covered for $1400. Economy open trailer was $995 and Express open was $1245. Everywhere else was charging double for a closed trailer and about 2-3 hundred more for the open.
