Opinions on how to sell my disk front end.
I have listed it for sale as an entire unit (cross member unbolted). I have had a couple of people say they want it, and then something has come up and they didn't buy it. Would I be better off parting the thing out? I got it for my project but then traded the project for a 71 that already has the disk brakes.

Personally I would rather have the whole unit in one piece, although
I don't need it, how much are you asking for it? I sold my spare unit last year for $200, but it took me a while to get it, same reasons.

I listed it with pics for $150 for the entire unit off of a driving truck. Well, driving up until it got rear ended...

I can't sell mine for 100 bucks either. Supply and demand I guess, have to find someone who needs it. The fact they are too heavy to ship is a problem too.

I've got the same problem/set-up. '71 disc brake cross member complete for $125. Has to be a local pickup as shipping is not feasible for something this large and heavy. We're playing to a rather "select" audiance in a localized area which compounds the problem. I'm just enough of a "pack rat" or so my wife thinks that I hate to cut up or dispose of good useable items. If you have the room and don't really "need" to get rid of it some day, some one will want it. I sold two in cab gas tanks complete with sending unit in just such a fashion.

I don't "have" to sell it. Plus, you just never know when you may find a nice deal on a 6 lug truck

That's the way it goes..you get rid of something and a year from now you wish you still had it and it costs 2x as much to buy another one.

If it is a five lug set up. I might have a buyer for you. what is your asking price again? And would you happen to have a 5 lug rear end also?

The 5 lug I have is a leaf spring rear off of an 80's truck. I think it will fit, not sure. No springs on it. Asking $150 for the front end. It is 5 lug disk setup. Will post pics in a minute. Pics are here.
