Worked on my bro's truck til after midnite last nite, we installed a new intake & 200hp fogger & set up a MSD digital 6. His best 1000ft so far has been 10.2 @108mph. Next weekend I suppose he will get to the track & see if it holds up to the gas. He is runnig a 406, dart heads & intake, roller Comp cam, baby dominator(4150) Hooker big tubes & 3 inch exhaust.

You made a great run. Reminds me of the days when I use to run the 1/4 mile in a '57 Chevy I had at the time. It had a 427 four speed in it. 4:11 Gears.

How do you manage to get enough traction for numbers like that with the stock suspension?
My truck has a stock 350 with a cheap aluminum manifold, a Q-Jet and late model small chamber heads. I don't know the numbers but I know I can set off smoke alarms in two counties if I hit it hard in second.

My friend and mechanic runs a Vega/406(Hanky Panky II).You can get more inches, but he likes them right there at 406.That lil`thing is in the 8s.I guess his home track is Capitol since the local tracks run 1/8 mile for wussies. Can`t wait for pics.

mickey thompson ET street slicks and a well prepared track. it will spin the slicks on the street with ease. if i tried to run a regular radial on the street it would be like driving on ice everywhere. dev.

Nice run. Love to see some pics too! I've been wanting to take a trip down to Numedia sometime, but everytime my friend, who wants to run his car there, backs out. I think he is afraid of seeing what his car really runs .
I know you kind of luck, I have it too Mike

beside that there are company's that are selling are rear suspension to put in cars like chevelles and elcs. the suspension in the back of our trucks is very similar to a 3 point. nascar have the same suspension as ours a little more glorified.
