Need ideas for tailgate chain elimination.
Hey guys, I need ideas to eliminate my fleetside tailgate chains. I looked for a thread and couldn't find one. Show me what you have done (besides seatbelt latches). Thanks

They have some cool stuff, but mine is a fleetside and the gate doesn't have the hollow area in the top for the latches they make. Anyone else?

mine is also a fleetside, and as I said all I used were their sliders. My latchs are internal like a newer truck. These guys have some cool stuff too.

tailgate latch & support cables...
HOWDY...BRUCE HERE,I used "hidden latches" from "brothers" there easy to install and look good I also had to "trim-out" the inside edege of the tailgate to accomidate the cables, those where purchased at the auto parts store.open your tailgate level with the bed measure form attachment point to attachment point and get the proper size see photos at... http://community.webshots.com/user/lvnr66
have fun!! BRUCE..
