Had to keep some sort of heater for this Canadian climate.

I've got about 1100 US into mine, got nickled and dimed a whole lot on it though. I'd suggest finding a complete running donor car if you wanna do the swap

![]() ![]() You have to consider the cost of the fuel systen too which was the major cost. You need to do a frame mounted tank,45psi min fuel pump, fuel filters, hard lines, return line, fuel lines from hard lines to the engine ect........... It's been LOTS of fun though ![]()

Well, I tried to fire the GMC up today. Found out that it is not the ECM that is acting up on me, but rather the chip I got from Brian Harris. I used that chip from the s-10 you gave me Darren, and with it my old ECM performed flawlessly, but being for an s-10, the truck doesn't run very good on it, lol!
Becuase of that, I can send your reman ECM back to you in the mail, and I'll need to get Brian to burn me a new one. The GMC does make noise, but she definitely doesn't run good by any means. I cannot get it to idle what so ever on either chip. It is running extremely rich as well, I had it stopped infront of my garage, and in the short time I was trying to get it to idle, it covered my garage door with black soot. Not quite sure if it is just a chip issue, but the truck will not run lower than about 2000 rpm, and will die immediately if you set the timing down to 0 degrees with the dizzy over-ride unplugged. I'll mess around with it a bit more later, and try to get it to run a bit better. I know my cam is a bit choppy, but it isn't THAT choppy, I should only be having idle seeking issues with it. I suppose I should do a couple more checks on all of the sensors to make sure they are all working correctly, so I can rule out a sensory error. I know that my TPS is a bit low, but it shouldn't be enough to mess my truck up that bad.

Westers Garage in Tilley burns chips and he will also do a dyno tune if you leave your truck with him for $129 if you buy his chip.
