The engine Im building is a 350. Im doing it just to see if I can build one low budget and keep cost as low as possible and still have high performance. When Im done Ill need some thing to put it in. But I have a good start. Matt

3.73's are to much for my 406cid sbc I have 29 inch tall tires and I shift in to 3rd very quickly. I have a TH350 trans and I dont want to run a lot of RPM all the time. Some thing like 3.42 up to 3.08 would be better and with the TQ I would still dust people from the lights with barely hitting the gas. Phoenix is so spread out, to go any place your putting a lot of miles on the engine. From my place in Gilbert to the other side of Phoenix your talking 45 50 miles, nothing but houses the hole way with trafic. Matt

PS 3.73's on the high way, with a 406 s@ck

What would we do with out our toys? Maby I am 61 and have had toys every since I can remember and still fell the same today as I did when I was 16. I just love classic cars and trucks and love working and fixing them up. but most of all, I enjoy driving them and watching the heads turn. So all you kids out there , just want to say that most likely you will feel the same as I so when you get my age. Enjoy your toys. I do. By the way, I am a young 61.
