350 troubleshooting

My buddy bought a 69 chevy with a 350 in it. It was originally a 6 cyl. We can't get it to turn over, or anything to work(lights, etc.). We have changed battery terminals and the battery, still nothing. The starter doesn't "click" either. Please help...

Does it have a wire running from the + terminal of the battery to a little black block on the inside of the passenger side fender? There should also be a red wire connected to the black block that runs across the top of the radiator support. That red wire provides power to the entire electrical system.

check your battery cables, make sure that they are wired right, and tight.

On that wire that runs across the radiator support are (2) inline fuses. One or both are probably the culprit. Good luck!

Make sure the gearshift is all the way to the left in park, mine does this sometimes. It will be in park but there is some slop in the lever so it needs to be all the way left.
Hope this helps

Thanks all, it didn't have the wire from the positive battery terminal to the junction box. Fired up after that
