shock question
Is there any type of shock that I can install to drop down the front end of my '86. Not looking for very much drop but any would be helpful. I know I can install 2" drop springs but I really dont want to go with that much drop. + springs are a lot of trouble. Just was curious about the shocks.
Thanks, Jeremy

Shocks won't lower the truck, they only dampen movement of the suspension. The only way I know of to lower the front of your truck is with spindles or springs. Springs might be slightly less work than spindles, but not by much.
You should be able to replace springs in less than a day with some basic hand tools, floor jack, and jack stands. It would be hard to even see any lowering less than 2". Last edited by beaterC10; 08-23-2005 at 05:18 PM. |

Shocks don't lower a vehicle, they only control the suspension. You need either springs, spindles or trip some of the stock spring.
