has anybody successfully used a type of rental such as u-haul trailer to move one of our trucks from point A to point B. I believe i've tried to rent a trailer before and was told the width of the truck was too wide. any body have any luck. if so can you give me the company name you used. thanks Benito.

I just hauled the 69 from Tallahassee to Valdosta on a U-Haul car transporter.
It was a tight fit length wise but not to bad width wise. Dragon |

My parent's have a uhaul dealership, I will try and measure one of the auto transports tonight. I am sure that it will fit though, snugly.

I haule my 69 SWB from LA to Fort Irwin, CA. U-Haul has 2 different auto transporters. I got the older version, and I almost never got my truck up on it. I have 275/60R15's and I had to let air out of them to get them to squeeze between the trailer fenders. I burnt a lot of rubber off my back tires getting it on and off. I would not want to do that again. But, I think the newer (looks aluminum) trailer is a little wider. That's my .02 Good luck.
