Does the burb have a complete drivetrain?

Then I'd use all of it if it was me, then the only thing you might have to change would be to find a 3/4T rear driveline out of a similar year as the burb since the 14 bolt has a bigger U-joint. The front should fit like it is. However you are going to have to bring the 700 trans to me so I can redo it to work without an ECM No you can do it your self or have someone that knows 700's help you. You need to add a TCC valve train in the valve body out of a pre 87 and change to an older TCC switch Assy. If I think of anything else i'll get back to you.

Well there's an old saying, you got your version, I got the truth. And just what is going to control the operation of it without an ECM? That's why the older ones have a separate shift valve and throttle valve just for that. You don't need some elecronic POS controlling what the trans can do itself. And what do you think you need a vacuum switch for, the only one they ever used was controlled by water temp so it would not lockup until the engine was warm, which in turn would allow the trans to warm a little too. It just tickles me that people think they need all this aftermarket BS to make such a simple thing work. He has everything he needs to make it work and needs to buy nothing PERIOD. Or maybe why not do like some of these no nothing rebuilders and just put a checkball in the snout of the switch and then you don't need any wiring, but that's nothing more than someone who doesn't know s**t about what they are doing.
