72' lower control arms
I have an issue with the length of a lower control arm... one side seems to be at least 1/2 inch longer, making for little fender clearance. Is there a difference in lower arm lengths over the year... i cant figure this one out?!?!

I seem to recall someone else having that problem on the forum. It was a difference in year and model. I.e. a 72 c10 with a 75 c20 arm or something like that. The pics showed the cross shaft sitting back a 1/2 inch on one arm.
May be someone can measure their 72 for you so you know wihich is which. |

Did you replace the control arm shaft? They have 2 different kinds of shafts. 1 where you dont use shims and the other where you need to use shims. You might have used the wrong ones. Thats just my thought and .02 cents.

What besides fender clearance are you having problems with? Are there steering issues? Just had the lower driver side replaced on mine and now have some cornering issues. Although, I've measured them, I don't see a significant difference in length from right to left. How did you lower your front end? I will check my shafts but I didn't change them. Which one is longer on your ride?

Its all clearance.... the passenger side is longer, making the tire hit the inside of the fender when dropped (airbags) on stock bump stops. Still cant find any info/help!!
